同济大学设计创意学院（D&I）师生的创作 MAD WOOD 展，将木材不同于常规的栋梁之材，而具有柔韧可塑性的一面展示给大家。无论是实木还是胶合板，以机械加工、湿弯技术*、冷压技术的实验，木料在设计师手中被随意拿捏，成为功能与造型兼具的创新的设计。
MAD WOOD exhibit reveals the soft and flexibility character of wood through the designs from the students and faculties of College of Design and Innovation (D&I), Tongji University.From mechanic process to bent-ply or innovative wet-bent* technology, wood is manipulated within the designers’ hand and mind for opening its variety functionalities and forms.
展览分为三个篇章：能力木（ENERGY.WOOD），层弯板（PLAY.WOOD）和木板凳（ST.WOOD）构成，并合并展出数字化、参数化辅助设计的时尚饰品。
Exhibition includes three main categories, they are: ENERGY.WOOD, PALY.WOOD and ST.WOOD, and also display digital, parametric aided design fashion accessories.
01 能力木（ENERGY.WOOD）
能力木（ENERGY.WOOD）是同济大学设计创意学院周洪涛教授的创作，以挑战实木的柔韧性能，展示木材饱含的巨大能量。*湿弯技术是周洪涛教授独创的实木弯曲方式，展览也将展示其工作进程。
ENERGY.WOOD, by Prof. ZHOU Hongtao with his unique wet-bent* technology to present the expressive energy from wood. *Wet-bent technology is invented by Prof. ZHOU Hongtao for solid wood.
02 层弯木（PLAY.WOOD）
层弯木（PLAY.WOOD）是以基于师生设计概念而深化发展的系列小批量生产的家具。材料采用芬欧汇川（UPM）的环保板材（WISA和GRADA*），家具以当代语言诠释功能和形式的创新。*GRADA是芬欧汇川（UPM）研制的热塑性胶合板。
PLAY.WOOD, presents a collection of furnture products based on studetns’ and faculties’ design concept and developped into products, made by furniture factory with WISA and GRADA* plywood from UPM. *GRADA is a thermoplastic playwood invented by UPM.
03 木板凳（ST.WOOD）
木板凳（ST.WOOD）展示部分同济大学设计创意学院（D&I）历届学生以木材为主设计制作的板凳，在对使用功能的思考和辅材的应用上大胆出位，将满满的想象力落在各自的板凳设计上，呈现于家具实物。
ST.WOOD, presents the wild range of stools designed by students and made by wood. The concepts are brave in the sense of exploring the new user demands and choose the matching materials, rich imaginations are presented by the design through these stools.
展示作品由同济大学设计创意学院材料与应用创新实验室（Material and Application Design Laboratory， MAD)提供，实验室以探索当代哲匠之艺（Design through making），面对涌现之境（Exploring emerging future）而创造。
All the exhibit pieces are provided by Material and Application Design Laboratory (MAD, D&I, Tongji University) and Jewelry Accessory Lab (JALAB), representing the experiments and researches for exploring emerging future by up-date design through making.
展览由上海同济天地创意设计有限公司和POI共同承办，芬欧汇川提供板材赞助。
Exhibition is executed by Tongji Tiandi and P.O.I., Plywood sponsor by UPM.
